As a Professional
By Evan Glaser, Founder — Stayin’ Warm
Every meaningful interaction begins with trust, and every enduring professional relationship is sustained by it. Trust is neither conferred by title nor secured by credentials; it is earned through integrity, humility, sound judgment, and faithful service. I regard professional authority not as a privilege to be exercised for personal distinction, but as a stewardship entrusted for the benefit of others. Every opportunity to serve another person therefore carries a corresponding obligation to pursue truth with humility, exercise prudence with care, and remain faithful to the limits of one's education, experience, competence, and lawful authority.
My professional philosophy has been shaped by disciplined study, practical experience, and a lifelong commitment to learning, including graduate study in Psychology and graduate study in Performance Psychology at Grand Canyon University. That education has strengthened my conviction that knowledge finds its highest purpose when exercised with wisdom, justice, integrity, and faithful service.
While my professional relationships are necessarily individualized, my commitment to serving others extends beyond any particular professional engagement. I welcome opportunities to interact with individuals throughout the United States and around the world, believing that sincere dialogue, the responsible exchange of ideas, and the shared pursuit of truth enrich all who participate. At the same time, I distinguish public interaction from professional relationships. Public interaction—whether personal, educational, professional, informational, conversational, or otherwise—does not, by itself, establish a professional relationship or create individualized professional responsibilities.
I am committed to conducting myself in a manner that recognizes the inherent dignity and equal worth of every human being. Accordingly, I endeavor to treat every individual with honesty, fairness, courtesy, patience, and respect. I likewise expect those with whom I enter into professional relationships to conduct themselves ethically while recognizing that same equal dignity in every person.
My professional practice is principally conducted under, and with profound respect for, the laws and public policy of the State of Tennessee. Accordingly, I intentionally confine my professional services to education, consultation, coaching, physical training, performance development, and other professionally appropriate services within the scope of my education, experience, credentials, competence, and applicable law. Although my education includes graduate study in Psychology and graduate study in Performance Psychology at Grand Canyon University, I do not represent myself as a licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, physician, or other licensed healthcare professional, nor do I provide psychotherapy, psychological diagnosis, psychological testing, treatment of mental disorders, or any service requiring such licensure. Whenever I provide professional services beyond Tennessee, I endeavor to do so with equal respect for the laws, ethical expectations, and professional standards of the governing jurisdiction.
Ultimately, I believe that professional excellence is measured less by accomplishment than by character. Knowledge is held in trust. Authority exists to serve rather than to elevate. If those who place their confidence in me encounter integrity before ambition, truth before convenience, justice before preference, humility before pride, and service before recognition, I will regard my work as having fulfilled its highest purpose.
Thank you for taking the time to consider the principles that guide my professional practice. It is my sincere hope that they are reflected not merely in this statement, but in every interaction entrusted to my care.
